Jake Liechty
Carpenter, kayaker, dirtbiker

Jake’s introduction to the trades began a few years ago with his induction into the Headwaters Carpentry & Tile crew.
His formative years were spent mountain biking with friends in central Pennsylvania and wrestling with his four brothers. Jake’s strong work ethic comes from spending his after school hours working on a dairy farm. After high school, Jake discovered whitewater kayaking and began his six year journey of traveling around the world pursing the sport. It took him to places like Ecuador, Nepal, and White Salmon, Washington. He fell in love with the area and the community in Washington and has since set roots there.
A driven individual, Jake has been learning a variety of different skills needed for high performance home building, including but not limited to rough framing, siding, trim, foundations, and tiling. Living and working in the Columbia River Gorge brings plenty of opportunity to mix work with play, including Jake’s love for white water kayaking at a high level and dirt-biking around the local volcanos. Jake is enthusiastic and loves honing in his carpentry skills at Headwaters.
